I like how the book puts scientific research and how interesting the book is like how they were fighting for the north pole and the volcano that spits out fire and snow.Plus it was funny how they wanted the Southpole and lots of guns and bullets to hunts for food etc bears and I wonder why the the Sutherland named someone Shackleton that is why I am puzzled  why theydid that but it is a good story to read and it's interesting
