What we did in the STEM presentation:

In the STEM presentation my group and I showcased our ozobot board game. In our board game you play as a builder that has lost his house blocks. You have to complete the course in the fastest time. We got quite a few votes for our game so I think we might have a good chance to win. For our next lesson we do not know what we are going to be doing because we are beginning a new unit.

In our previous STEM lesson we nearly finished all we needed to for our end product. The only things that we didn't finish were the colouring of the walls, the reason why it has taken us such a long time is because we were focusing a lot on the actual basics of the task. So all we have to do next is to work on the asthetics. In the future STEM lesson we are going to be finishing of and polishing our final product.

What what we did in our last STEM lesson.
In our last STEM lesson my group and I finished our end product. We were not able to use our Initial idea (the train track) but we had some last minute modifications. We had to make a drag strip still using the pivoting middle train track but instead of it being fixed to the track the user can freely move it only limited to the half way mark. Next lesson my group and I are going to be showing off what we have made to teachers, students and visitors.

STEM:
In the previous lesson my group and I tested out if the magnets that we are going to be using are light or powerful enough so that our ozobot will be able to haul it. We then super glued and taped our stadium together and stuck the platform under. In our next lesson my group and I will be making our lines so that the ozobot will be able to follow it.

Previous STEM lesson:
In our last STEM lesson my group and I did some further testing wether or not an ozobot will respond to a hand drawn colour and pattern. After we did our testing we learnt how to program the laser cutter to make a net of our Tetris cubes. After we learnt how to do that we programmed the laser cutter the bell went so we did not go any further than that.

what we did in  STEM.
Today in STEM we created some asthetics for our arena. We began by creating the arena (made out of styrofoam) and testing the sizes for the ozobots for our door way. We were initially going to laser cut the styrofoam but we ended up putting in some elbow grease and cutting it with scissors.

Testing
Today we tested the sphere and how far it will travel in a second we found out that at 6% of speed for 1 percent it travels 6cm. We also got the maze design that we are going to use in our end product there are twists and turns all through out the maze which will consume you on which path to take. My group stayed on task for a small percentage of the lesson so we found out a few things.

In our last STEM lesson we tested out our different devises for our game. My group and myself are doing ozobots (http://ozobot.com copy the link to go deeper on these miniscule marvels) we are going to be create a Tetris themed game where the player has dismantle a block wall to capture the flag. My group and myself are only up to the trial and error stage where we are testing the power of the ozobot or to see how much it can haul.
